Three roof deck profiles across everyday use carry exactly the same depth and an identical cover width, and that fact is precisely why so many specifiers assume them to be one product. Intermediate Ribbed Decking As a leading decking specialist, we make every project clear and simple. This overview walks through Narrow Ribbed Deck. Why Three ProfilesThey are not equivalent, and what that separates them is the dimension of the rib instead of the height. Narrow Ribbed Deck run a slim top rib and a correspondingly broad lower one. A wide rib inverts that proportion, opening the top flute and narrowing the bottom. Intermediate Ribbed Decking falls in between the other two. All of which matter for two reasons that pull in opposite directions: a broader top flute put a greater proportion of material at the point where the bending stress are greatest, whereas a more generous bottom rib gives whatever goes across top the deck more contact to sit on.If you're specifying narrow, intermediate or wide, our team make it easy.
