The Agnimandya and consequent nutritional deficiencies are addressed, while preparing the treatment protocol. The central focus of Ayurvedic treatment is the management of Agni and the Ama. The diet was advised on the line of Samsarjana Krama (Sequential administration of liquid diet to normal diet to kindle the Agni or digestive power) and the effect of treatment was analysed after 1 month. The symptoms of the diseases were reduced along with the improvement in the Agni and the nutritional status.It is the goal of this study to compare the dosimetric advantages of IMPT when compared to IMRT. From January 2019 to August 2020, 25 patients were treated with intensity modulated proton therapy (IMPT) at our institution for either recurrent, metastatic, benign, or primary tumors in the head and neck region. Twenty-one patients met criteria for dosimetric analysis. Histology of disease included squamous cell carcinoma, acinic cell carcinoma, sarcomatoid sinonasal carcinoma, paraganglioma, adenoid cystic carcinoma, salivary high grade carcinoma, and papillary thyroid carcinoma. For IMRT planning, gross tumor volume (GTV) and clinical target volume (CTV) were contoured with the expansion of 3-5 mm to create the planning target volume (PTV) and dose was prescribed to the PTV. For the IMPT planning, dose was prescribed to CTV and robust optimization was utilized which accounted for a 5 mm setup and range uncertainty. The minimum, mean and maximum target doses for IMRT and IMPT plans as well as mean and maximum n to a therapeutic advantage for patients.Stereotactic ablative body radiation therapy (SABR) is a well-established alternative to surgery for early stage non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC). While SABR is typically delivered in 3 to 5 fractions, randomized trials have shown single-fraction SABR to be a reasonable alternative. We present the case of a 66-year-old male with history of cholangiocarcinoma who was subsequently diagnosed with peripheral early stage NSCLC and treated in mid-inspiration breath hold (BH) to 34 Gy in 1 fraction on a magnetic resonance (MR)-guided linear accelerator, with treatment delivery completed in 17 minutes. Visual biofeedback was utilized to maximize patient compliance with appropriate depth of inspiration BH and improve overall treatment delivery time efficiency. The benefits of single- vs multifraction SABR and unique advantages of MR guidance that are particularly well-suited for single-fraction SABR are reviewed.Understanding the health-related quality of life (HrQoL) of hospitalized COVID-19 survivors is an emerging global challenge arising from the current pandemic. A qualitative study of the experiences of sixteen hospitalized COVID-19 survivors from Nanning City, China, was conducted using semi-structured telephone interviews in May 2020. These first-hand accounts were critically and empirically analysed to identify emerging health and social issues, and provide potential solutions to improve survivors' quality of life. This in-depth, qualitative study of HrQoL for hospitalized COVID-19 survivors provides the first empirical evidence and conceptual framework with eight dimensions (physical symptoms, anxiety, trauma, economic loss, place-based identity, self-stigma, health self-interventions, and changing lifestyle) for understanding the physiological, psychological, socio-economic and health behavioral aspects of their daily lives. We argue that local and global governments should provide integrated healthcare, social and digital infrastructure to support this vulnerable group. More comparative and multi-disciplinary studies in this area are needed to generate academic standards of assessing health-related quality of life and produce good practice guidelines for promoting urban resilience in response to public health disasters. Since the introduction of laparoscopic cholecystectomy over 30 years ago, rates of bile duct injury have remained elevated compared to the era of open cholecystectomy. We propose an anatomical landmark, the Inferior Boundary of Dissection, to help prevent dangerous dissection in the porta hepatis and provide clues as to when a critical view of safety may not be immediately achieved. This landmarking approach is based on fundamentals of biliary anatomy and surface landmarks of the liver. The 'Boundary' extends from Rouviere's sulcus to the junction of the peritoneum and fat overlying the cystic and hilar plates, near the base of segment 4. This anatomic landmark represents the lower boundary for safe dissection, by outlining the location of the biliary pedicles. The two points of reference are reliable surface landmarks with predictable and consistent relationships to the biliary pedicles. It also serves as a line above which the gallbladder can be opened or mobilized in a 'top-around' approach, facilitating subtotal cholecystectomy when the hepatocystic triangle appears hostile due to inflammation.
