Knowledge of normal tissue architecture is essential for one of the vitally important graduate competencies in dentistry, which is the recognition and appropriate referral of patients with oral mucosal and jawbone abnormalities for timely management and improved outcomes. The aim of this study was to examine the effect of online adaptive lessons on improving perceived and measured student performance, motivation, and student perceptions in dental education. This mixed-method study was conducted on year 1 and year 3 undergraduate dental students. Adaptive lessons supplementing a number of histology topics were designed and made available. Adaptive lesson scores and analytics, exam scores on topics that were supplemented by adaptive lessons (Experimental Questions), and those that were not (Control Questions) were compared among the year 1 students (n=43). A validated questionnaire including Likert-type scales about the student attitudes and perceptions toward adaptive lessons followed by open-ended questioply with recommendations from Health Authorities.This article examines how Armenian citizens of Turkey employ names and naming strategies in their everyday life in order to navigate a nationalist social landscape. Studies of nationalist politics in everyday life have been particularly successful in demonstrating how nationalism is experienced and reproduced through the consumption of national symbols and rituals. What remains relatively glossed over in these accounts are the individuals' constant and dynamic engagements with nationalist politics not only through national symbols and rituals but also through everyday social practices with fellow citizens. The present study seeks to capture and analyze this latter, relatively understudied, aspect. In doing so, the discussion reveals how individuals use different name strategies in order to fend off shame and humiliation as well as inhibit threats to status advancement. Overall, the following narrative moves beyond a demonstration of the functionality of nationalism as a source of unity and solidarity. The dendrimers of ALA hold ester bonds that inside the cells are cleaved and release ALA, yielding PpIX production. The dendrimer 6m-ALA was chosen to perform this study since in previous studies it induced the highest porphyrin macrophage endothelial cell ratio (Rodriguez et al. in Photochem Photobiol Sci 141617-1627, 2015). We transformed Raw 264.7 macrophages to foam cells by exposure to oxidised LDLs, and we employed a co-culture model of HMEC-1 endothelial cells and foam cells to study the affinity of ALA dendrimers for the foam cells.
