Using survival analysis and Cox regression model, we identified a set of seven lncRNAs (LINC00941, FAM83A-AS1, AC026355.1, AC068338.3, AC010980.2, AL365181.2, and AC079949.2) demonstrating an ability to stratify patients into high and low risk groups with significantly different survival outcomes. Moreover, the signature was identified as an independent prognostic factor and significantly associated with the overall survival (OS) of LUAD. The area under curve (AUC) of a ROC curve for the signature of the group of seven immune-related lncRNAs in predicting OS was 0.757. In addition, low-risk and high-risk groups displayed different immune statuses based on PCA. This study suggested a promising seven prognostic immune-related lncRNAs risk scoring system and may provide new information for immunological treatment in LUAD.This study suggested a promising seven prognostic immune-related lncRNAs risk scoring system and may provide new information for immunological treatment in LUAD. Platelet antigens can stimulate the body to produce platelet alloimmune antibodies through blood transfusion, pregnancy, and autoimmunity. In the blood of pregnant women, anti-platelet antibodies can cause embryo implantation failure, abortion, etc. if they are present. The platelet antibody was screened in 326 infertile patients (282 primary infertility and 44 secondary infertility) and 522 healthy controls in the physical examination center of our hospital by solid phase agglutination of red blood cells. The positive rate of anti-platelet antibody was 9.51% in the infertility group and 2.30% in the healthy control group. There was a significant difference between them (χ2 = 4.51, p < 0.05). The positive rate of anti-platelet antibody in the infertility group was significantly higher than that in the control group. The positive rate of anti-platelet antibody in the secondary infertility patients was significantly higher than that in the primary infertility patients (χ2 = 1.62, p < 0.05), and the positive rate of serum anti-platelet antibody increased gradually with the increase of infertility years. The positive rate of anti-platelet antibody is closely related to infertility and gradually increases with the age of infertility. The positive rate of anti-platelet antibody is closely related to infertility and gradually increases with the age of infertility. This study aimed to evaluate the C-reactive protein to serum albumin ratio (CAR) to predict prognosis in COPD patients with acute exacerbations (AECOPD). A retrospective cohort study of AECOPD patients, admitted to a large tertiary hospital between January 2017 and June 2018, was conducted. Univariate and multivariate logistic regression models were built to assess the relationship between variables and different clinical outcomes in one-year follow up. In addition, Kaplan-Meier method was used to estimate the relationship between CAR and the time to first rehospitalization due to acute exacerbation of COPD. A total of 167 AECOPD patients were included in this study, with an overall age of 68.5 ± 9.4 years. Both univariate and multivariate logistic regression analysis demonstrated that CAR at admission was significantly associated with rehospitalization and frequent exacerbations in COPD patients (p < 0.05). Kaplan-Meier curve showed that the rehospitalization event-free rate was significantly higher in the low CAR group than the high CAR group (p < 0.01). As an easily available parameter, CAR at admission can be an independent predictor for rehospitalization and frequent exacerbations in COPD patients with acute exacerbations. As an easily available parameter, CAR at admission can be an independent predictor for rehospitalization and frequent exacerbations in COPD patients with acute exacerbations. Although exercise has beneficial effects on metabolic syndrome (Mets), the effects of exercise training on endothelial function and irisin level in the elderly with MetS remain controversial. The aim of this study is to evaluate the influence of exercise training on endothelial function and serum irisin level in the elderly with MetS. Volunteers with MetS were recruited (n = 30). After 8 consecutive weeks of exercise training, flow-mediated dilation (FMD), colony-forming units (CFU) of endothelial progenitor cell (EPC), and serum irisin level were determined. Body mass index (BMI), Homeostasis Model of Assessment of Insulin Resistance (HOMA-IR), and inflammatory markers were detected. Exercise training program improved endothelial function, increased EPC-CFU, decreased HOMA-IR and inflammatory markers in patients with metabolic syndrome. However, exercise training had no influence on the serum irisin level. Derazantinib nmr Multivariate linear regression analysis showed that change of EPC-CFU and HOMA-IR were independent prognostic risk factors for change of FMD. Exercise training improved endothelial function, alleviated insulin resistance and inflammation in the elderly with MetS. The findings suggest that exercise training program is an effective means for the treatment of MetS in the elderly.Exercise training improved endothelial function, alleviated insulin resistance and inflammation in the elderly with MetS. Anemia is common in patients with severe chronic liver disease, but its role in HBV-related decompensated cirrhosis (DeCi) is still unclear. We therefore aimed to assess the impact of anemia on prognosis in HBV-DeCi patients. One hundred thirty-three patients diagnosed with HBV-DeCi were retrospectively collected. A total of 113 (85.0%) patients suffered from anemia in our cohort. The low hemoglobin (Hb) level group exhibited a significantly increased 28-day mortality rate compared with the high Hb group. Hb level was a predictor of 28-day mortality in HBV-DeCi patients. Reduced Hb levels were associated with unfavorable prognosis in HBV-DeCi patients, and more attention should be paid to anemia in routine clinical assessments of liver cirrhosis.Reduced Hb levels were associated with unfavorable prognosis in HBV-DeCi patients, and more attention should be paid to anemia in routine clinical assessments of liver cirrhosis.
