The LGBTQ+ community experiences health inequities that are linked to the social determinants of health (SDH), though the full extent of these health inequities is not fully understood. This study is a comparative thematic content analysis of the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care's (MOHLTC) website and the websites of each of the 14 local health integration networks (LHINs) in 2009 and 2017. It provides a snapshot and evaluation of the amount and type of online content concerning LGBTQ+-specific health needs and determines how well the programs and services aligned with the Ministry's stated priorities and population health/SDH philosophy. We found very little content that suggested a population health approach on the Ministry's website. We also found very little LGBTQ+-specific content on the LHINs' websites in both periods, with two notable exceptions in 2017. Our analysis revealed a persistent emphasis on HIV/AIDS risk containment in the LGBTQ + community over the two periods. Teachers' stress can affect their occupational health and negatively impact classroom climate and students' well-being. This study aims to evaluate the proximal and distal effects of a mindfulness-based program, specially developed to promote teachers' social-emotional competencies (SEC), across teachers, classroom climates, and students' outcomes. The study followed a randomized trial design with two data collection points (pretest and posttest). Dyngo-4a in vivo Participants in the experimental group (EG) included 123 elementary school teachers, their 1503 students, and these students' parents (1494), while the control group (CG) comprised 105 elementary school teachers, their 947 students, and these students' parents (913). A mixed data collection strategy was used that included teachers' and students' (self-) report, observational ratings of teachers' classroom behaviors, and parents' reports on students. After the intervention, EG teachers, compared to CG teachers, reported a significant increase in mindfulness and emotional regulation competencies, self-efficacy, and well-being and a decrease in burnout symptoms. Similarly, a significant improvement was found in EG teachers' classroom behaviors related to students' engagement. Additionally, significant improvements were also found in EG students' perceptions of the quality of their teachers' involvement in classroom relationships, self-reported effect, and social competencies perceived by their parents. These findings further the knowledge on the role played by mindfulness-based SEC interventions in reducing teachers' burnout symptoms and cultivating their SEC and well-being, in promoting a nurturing classroom climate and also in promoting the SEC and well-being of students. Regular physical activity is a good strategy to maintain the health of athletes, and prevent pain and decreased joint flexibility during the pandemic. On the other hand, higher sedentary time during the pandemic period can have deleterious effects. The objective of this study was to compare physical activity levels, sedentary time, and sleep parameters during the pre-COVID period and the COVID-19 pandemic period in young badminton athletes. Fifteen young badminton athletes were evaluated during a pre-COVID period (July 2019) and during the COVID-19 period (July 2020). Sleep parameters, physical activity level, and sedentary time were measured using a tri-axial accelerometer. Participants wore the accelerometer on their dominant wrist for 7days consecutively. In addition, the average of each sleep parameter [time in bed and total sleep time in hours per day, sleep efficiency (%), wake after sleep onset (WASO, total per day), and sleep latency (minutes per day)] was reported over the 7-day period. Increases in the total biomass, shorter cultivars, late maturity, and extended seed-filling period are frequently reported as main contributors for better soybean performance. However, there are still processes associated with crop physiology to be improved. From the theoretical standpoint, yield is the product of efficiency of light interception (Ei), radiation use efficiency (RUE), and harvest index (HI). The relative contribution of these three parameters on the final grain yield (GY), their interrelation with other phenological-physiological traits, and their environmental stability have not been well established for soybean. In this study, we determined the additive-genetic relationship among 14 physiological and phenological traits including photosynthesis (A) and intrinsic water use efficiency (iWUE) in a panel of 383 soybean recombinant inbred lines (RILs) through direct (patandard units, respectively. RUE, Ei, and HI exhibited better environmental stability than GY, although changes associated with year and location showed a moderate effect in Ei and RUE, respectively. This study brings insight into a group of traits involving A, iWUE, and RL to be prioritized during the breeding process for high-yielding cultivars.
