Literature suggests an increasing trend towards more screening tests, while awareness of potential harms of screenings has been reported to be sub-optimal. This paper aimed to characterize ANC screening practices within the 53 countries of the WHO Europe Region and compare these to evidenced-based recommendations from WHO and from other key reference sources. From January 2019 to July 2019 we conducted a survey among key informants (KIs) in the 53 countries of the WHO European Region and a systematic review of literature. KIs were invited to answer an online structured questionnaire, available both in English and Russian. Published and unpublished guidelines, policies or cross-sectional studies on ANC screening practices were searched for in four electronic databases (MEDLINE, Global Health Library, Web of Science, Google) and also sent by KIs. Data obtained from both methods were analysed and triangulated by two independent authors. Overall 42 countries participated in the survey. Among these, 36 (86%) the implementation of ANC practices among countries. Guidance on and implementation of evidenced-based recommendations on ANC screening is suboptimal in the WHO European Region. It is necessary to increase the availability of evidence-based high-quality national guidelines and their concrete use in routine practice.Guidance on and implementation of evidenced-based recommendations on ANC screening is suboptimal in the WHO European Region. Snakebite envenoming, a high priority Neglected Tropical Disease categorized by the World Health Organization (WHO), has been considered as a poverty-related disease that requires greater global awareness and collaboration to establish strategies that effectively decrease economic burdens. This prompts the need for a comprehensive review of the global literature that summarizes the global economic burden and a description of methodology details and their variation. This study aimed to systematically identify studies on cost of illness and economic evaluation associated with snakebites, summarize study findings, and evaluate their methods to provide recommendations for future studies. We searched PubMed, EMBASE, Cochrane library, and Econlit for articles published from inception to 31 July 2019. Original articles reporting costs or full economic evaluation related with snakebites were included. The methods and reporting quality were assessed. Costs were presented in US dollars (US$) in 2018. Twenty-threeof snakebite were underestimated and not extensively studied. To accurately capture the economic burdens of snakebites at both the global and local level, hospital data should be collected along with community survey and economic burdens of snakebites should be estimated both in short-term and long-term period to incorporate the lifetime costs and productivity loss due to premature death, disability, and consequences of snakebites.Economic burdens of snakebite were underestimated and not extensively studied. Meta-analyses have demonstrated cognitive training (CT) benefits in Parkinson's disease (PD) patients. However, the patients' cognitive status has only rarely been based on established criteria. Also, prediction analyses of CT success have only sparsely been conducted. To determine CT effects in PD patients with mild cognitive impairment (PD-MCI) on cognitive and noncognitive outcomes compared to an active control group (CG) and to analyze CT success predictors. Sixty-four PD-MCI patients (age 67.61 ± 7.70; UPDRS-III 26.58 ± 13.54; MoCA 24.47 ± 2.78) were randomized to either a CT group or a low-intensity physical activity CG for six weeks (twice weekly, 90 minutes). Outcomes were assessed before and after training. MANOVAs with follow-up ANOVAs and multiple regression analyses were computed. Both interventions were highly feasible (participation, motivation, and evaluation); the overall dropout rate was 4.7%. Time × group interaction effects favoring CT were observed for phonemic fluency as a specifilso attenuate cognitive decline in the long term. This trial is registered with DRKS00010186.Recent studies have shown that co-culture systems play an important role in bone tissue engineering. In this study, human dental pulp stem cells (hDPSCs) were co-cultured with human adipose-derived stem cells (hADSCs), and osteoblastic phenotypes were found to be enhanced in co-cultures compared with monocultures of hDPSCs or hADSCs. Furthermore, GW4869, an inhibitor of extracellular vesicle (EV) formation, suppressed the mineralization of co-cultured cells. Ferrostatin-1 mw Studies indicate that the therapeutic potential of DPSCs is realized through paracrine action, in which EVs play an important role. To study their role, we successfully obtained and identified hDPSC-derived extracellular vesicles (hDPSC-EVs), and further investigated their effects on hADSCs and the underlying mechanism. hADSCs were stimulated with hDPSC-EVs, which were found to promote the migration and mineralization of hADSCs. Moreover, hDPSC-EVs promoted osteogenic differentiation by enhancing the phosphorylation of ERK 1/2 and JNK in hADSCs. These cases are rare and show atypical cytoplasmic/membrane expression of Ck5/6, alpha-methylacyl coenzyme A racemase and high-molecular-weight cytokeratin. It is rare to find this type of carcinoma with negativity for Ck5/6. We would like to present this case to avoid a diagnostic pitfall and with review of literature to understand the origin of this rare subtype.
