We performed aretrospectivecohortstudyof infantsborn wih CDH from 1991 to2015. A generalized linear model was applied to the data using a propensity score analysis. Eighty patients met the inclusion criteria; at the time of surgery 39 (48.8%) patients were onHFV and 41 (51.3%) patients were on CMV. In the HFV group, 16 (47.1%) patients remained oxygen dependent and there were 5 (12.8%) deaths at 28days. In the CMV group, 5 (12.2%) patients remained oxygen dependent at 28days but none had died. The base model demonstrated that the HFV group had increased rates of oxygen dependence [OR = 6.40 (2.13, 22.2), p = 0.002]. However, after propensity score analysis, we found no difference between HFV and CMV. During embryonic development and disease progression, the kidney undergoes enormous changes in macrostructure, accompanied by a variety of microstructural histological changes, such as glomerular formation and sclerosis, tubule elongation and atrophy, interstitial establishment, and fibrosis progression. All of these rely on the frequent occurrence of cell death and growth. Notably, to overcome disease, some cells regenerate through self-repair or progenitor cell differentiation. However, the signaling mechanisms underlying kidney development and regeneration have not been elucidated. Recently, Wnt signaling has been noted to play an important role. Although it is a well-known developmental signal, the role of Wnt signaling in kidney development and regeneration is not well recognized. In this review, we review the role of Wnt signaling in kidney embryonic development, tissue repair, cell division, and progenitor cell differentiation after injury. Moreover, we briefly highlight advances in our understanding of the pathogenic mechanisms of Wnt signaling in mediating cellular senescence in kidney parenchymal and stem cells, an irreversible arrest of cell proliferation blocking tissue repair and regeneration. We also highlight the therapeutic targets of Wnt signaling in kidney diseases and provide important clues for clinical strategies. Cell-free DNA (cfDNA) shed from tumors into the circulation offers a tool for cancer detection. Here, we evaluated the feasibility of cfDNA measurement and utility of digital PCR (dPCR)-based assays, which reduce subsampling error, for diagnosing pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDA) and surveillance of intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasm (IPMN). DPCR utilizing pre-amplification cfDNA afforded accurate tumor-derived mutant KRAS detection in plasma in resectable PDA (AUC 0.861-0.876) and improved post-resection recurrence prediction [hazard ratio (HR) 3.179, 95% confidence interval (CI) 1.025-9.859] over that for the marker CA19-9 (HR 1.464; 95% CI 0.674-3.181). Capturing KRAS and GNAS could also provide genetic evidence in patients with IPMN-associated PDA and undergoing pancreatic surveillance. Plasma cfDNA quantification by distinct measurements is useful to predict tumor burden. We used GPS data and local convex hulls to estimate space use and Hidden Markov Models to estimate three types of movement behavior encamped, foraging, and traveling. We then used integrated step-selection analysis to investigate behaviorally explicit resource selection across times of day (diurnal, crepuscular, and nocturnal) and season (snow-free and snow).
