Poor control according to the current criteria was compared to poor control according to the proposed rule. To determine who would benefit, the sociodemographic, clinical, therapeutic and follow-up characteristics were analyzed. Descriptive, bivariate and multivariate statistical analysis was performed. No predominant characteristics were found in the patients who would be prescribed GLP-1 according to the proposed rule, but those that reached a significance P<.20 were included as potential explanatory factors in a multivariate binary logistic regression model. The adjustment of the model retained the factors of therapeutic non-compliance (OR 3.40 [1.58-5.02]; P=.003), evolution of DM2 less than 15 years (OR 2.74 [1.10-4.89]; P=.031), number of prescribed anti-diabetes drugs (OR 2.30 [1.88-2.81]; P<.001) and age under 65 years (OR 1.67 [1.08-2.58]; P=.021). The presentation of this pathology in relation to surgeries of another nature is exceptional, with only a few cases in the scientific literature. We present the case of a patient who developed symptoms of isolated left axillary nerve palsy after undergoing lipoabdominoplasty and breast reduction, in which the prone and supine positions were alternated. The use of an infiltration solution with lidocaine and epinephrine could have contributed to the appearance of the lesion in this unique case. Few reports indicated the intra-patient heterogeneity of Ki67-LI among metastatic tumor sites. We report a case of brain and orbital metastases from GI-NET that showed discrepancy of the Ki67-LI. A 71 year-old woman who was diagnosed as GI-NET with liver and bone metastases and performed medical therapy, had headache, right exophthalmos, and pain of right eye and was referred to our department. Magnetic resonance image revealed that tumors in the left occipital region and right orbit. We diagnosed as metastatic brain and orbital tumors from GI-NET. Surgical removal of both symptomatic lesions was performed and the diagnosis was pathologically confirmed. Immunohistochemical studies revealed the discrepancy of the Ki67-LI of the lesions (brain tumor 8% versus orbital tumor 22%). Sampling of multiple metastatic sites may prevent underestimate tumor proliferative activity. To assess how professional CGM affected treatment decisions and glucose control as part of a pharmacist-managed service for patients with type 2 diabetes. Clinical Pharmacy Specialists (CPS's) within an outpatient diabetes management service provide comprehensive diabetes care under a scope of practice that includes prescriptive privileges. Insight into glucose patterns is paramount for pharmacists to use their medication expertise to its fullest capacity. CGM technology can provide detailed data on glucose trends, including percentage of time spent in a target range. Pharmacists involved in the provision of diabetes care have the opportunity to integrate professional CGM into their practice to acquire data for targeted therapeutic adjustments. A retrospective analysis was conducted of patients with type 2 diabetes who had prof able to achieve targets for significantly more patients with type 2 diabetes on a wide range of treatment regimens at 6 months compared with baseline. Widespread use of professional CGM in pharmacist-managed diabetes services may provide valuable care and improve outcomes more broadly. Psychological distress is common among people who inject drugs (PWID) and may be associated with HCV-related risk behaviours. Previous studies have documented increased vulnerability to both psychological distress and HCV infection among female relative to male PWID. It is, however, unclear whether behavioural responses to distress differ by gender. This study estimated gender-specific associations between psychological distress and i) binge drug injection, and ii) sharing of injection materials. Data were drawn from HEPCO, a longitudinal cohort study involving three-monthly interviews with active PWID in Montreal, Canada. Past-month psychological distress was assessed with the Kessler (K10) scale, categorized for descriptive analyses as minimal (score 10-15), moderate (16-21), high (22-29), or severe (30-50). Binge was defined as injecting large quantities of drugs until participants could no longer continue (past 3 months). Sharing was defined as injection with previously-used needles or equipment (past 3 months).
