The purpose of the research paper was to develop a universal residual risk assessment tool based on the use of risk control measures related to Covid-19 in order to determine the state of organizational resilience of individual industries or organizations. The article proposes and analyzes a pandemic residual risk assessment tool, which is a simple and universal source for residual risk estimation based on a five-step consequence/probability matrix, a five-step hierarchy of risk controls, and a general formula for calculating residual risk. The methodology of the survey is based on a questionnaire with 16 questions used for the initial validation of the residual risk scale, of which six related to the potential of organizational resilience. The pilot survey was conducted in 66 enterprises in Poland. On the basis of the survey, four measures related to the use of control measures against threats after the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic have been proposed. These are personal protective equipment (PPE) controls, administrative controls, engineering controls, and substitution controls. Using the survey results, we estimated averages of the response results, and, on their basis, we estimated the residual risks for individual types of enterprises according to the type of business and its size. Based on the calculations, a strong correlation was found between the potential of organizational resilience and the individual use of control measures. Therefore, the main finding of the survey proves that effective risk management builds organizational resilience in enterprises. The practical implications of the study allow the management staff to find out what aspects related to the use of control measures need to be paid attention to in order to minimize residual risk.As an insulating medium, sulfur hexafluoride (SF6) is extensively applied to electrical insulation equipment to ensure its normal operation. However, both partial discharge and overheating may cause SF6 to decompose, and then the insulation strength of electrical equipment will be reduced. The adsorption properties and sensing mechanisms of four SF6 decomposed components (HF, SO2, SOF2 and SO2F2) upon an Au-modified InN (Au-InN) monolayer were studied in this work based on first-principles theory. Meanwhile, the adsorption energy (Ead), charge transfer (QT), deformation charge density (DCD), density of states (DOS), frontier molecular orbital and recovery property were calculated. It can be observed that the structures of the SO2, SOF2 and SO2F2 molecules changed significantly after being adsorbed. Meanwhile, the Ead and QT of these three adsorption systems are relatively large, while that of the HF adsorption system is the opposite. These phenomena indicate that Au-InN monolayer has strong adsorption capacitared by Au-InN.The reference diagnostic test of fibrosis, steatosis, and hepatic iron overload is liver biopsy, a clear invasive procedure. The main objective of this work was to propose HSA, or human serum albumin, as a biomarker for the assessment of fibrosis and to study non-invasive biomarkers for the assessment of steatosis and hepatic iron overload by means of an MR image acquisition protocol. It was performed on a set of eight subjects to determine fibrosis, steatosis, and hepatic iron overload with four different MRI sequences. We calibrated longitudinal relaxation times (T1 [ms]) with seven human serum albumin (HSA [%]) phantoms, and we studied the relationship between them as this protein is synthesized by the liver, and its concentration decreases in advanced fibrosis. Steatosis was calculated by means of the fat fraction (FF [%]) between fat and water liver signals in "fat-only images" (the subtraction of in-phase [IP] images and out-of-phase [OOP] images) and in "water-only images" (the addition of IP and OOP images). Liver iron concentration (LIC [µmol/g]) was obtained by the transverse relaxation time (T2* [ms]) using Gandon's method with multiple echo times (TE) in T2-weighted IP and OOP images. The preliminary results showed that there is an inverse relationship (r = -0.9662) between the T1 relaxation times (ms) and HSA concentrations (%). Steatosis was determined with FF > 6.4% and when the liver signal was greater than the paravertebral muscles signal, and thus, the liver appeared hyperintense in fat-only images. Hepatic iron overload was detected with LIC > 36 µmol/g, and in these cases, the liver signal was smaller than the paravertebral muscles signal, and thus, the liver behaved as hypointense in IP images.Background and Objectives The National Cancer Database (NCDB) captures nearly 70% of all new cancer diagnoses in the United States, but there exists significant variation in this capture rate based on primary tumor location and other patient demographic factors. Prostate cancer has the lowest coverage rate of all major cancers, and other genitourinary malignancies likewise fall below the average NCDB case coverage rate. We aimed to explore NCDB coverage rates for patients with genitourinary cancers as a function of race. Materials and Methods We compared the incidence of cancer cases in the NCDB with contemporary United States Cancer Statistics data. Results Across all malignancies, American Indian/Alaskan Natives subjects demonstrated the lowest capture rates, and Asian/Pacific Islander subjects exhibited the second-lowest capture rates. Between White and Black subjects, capture rates were significantly higher for White subjects overall and for prostate cancer and kidney cancer in White males, but significantly higher for bladder cancer in Black versus White females. No significant differences were observed in coverage rates for kidney cancer in females, bladder cancer in males, penile cancer, or testicular cancer in White versus Black patients. Conclusions Differential access to Commission on Cancer-accredited treatment facilities for racial minorities with genitourinary cancer constitutes a unique avenue for health equity research.Obesity is thought to be associated with a reduced capacity to increase fat oxidation in response to physical exercise; however, scientific evidence supporting this paradigm remains scarce. This study aimed to determine the interrelationship of different submaximal exercise metabolic flexibility (Metflex) markers and define its association with body fatness on subjects with obesity. Twenty-one male subjects with obesity performed a graded-intensity exercise protocol (Test 1) during which cardiorespiratory fitness (CRF), maximal fat oxidation (MFO) and its corresponding exercise intensity (FATmax) were recorded. A week afterward, each subject performed a 60-min walk (treadmill) at FATmax (Test 2), and the resulting fat oxidation area under the curve (TFO) and maximum respiratory exchange ratio (RERpeak) were recorded. Panobinostat Blood lactate (LAb) levels was measured during both exercise protocols. Linear regression analysis was used to study the interrelationship of exercise Metflex markers. Pearson's correlation was used to evaluate all possible linear relationships between Metflex and anthropometric measurement, controlling for CRF).
