Prdx2 protein expression in the testis tissue and reducing testicular oxidative damage.Electromagnetic radiation from cellphones can cause ultrastructural damage to the testis tissue of male rats, while Guilingji Capsules can alleviate it, presumably by upregulating the Prdx2 protein expression in the testis tissue and reducing testicular oxidative damage. To explore the distribution of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) syndrome types and their relationship with semen parameters in infertility male patients with varicocele (VC). Using Questionnaire on Clinical Symptoms of Varicocele-Caused Male Infertility, we made an investigation among 147 infertility male patients with VC, determined the types of their TCM syndromes, obtained their semen parameters, and analyzed the distribution of the TCM syndrome types and their correlation with semen parameters. Of the TCM syndrome types identified, kidney deficiency and stagnated heat constituted the largest proportion (34.7%), and the mixed type accounted for a significantly higher percentage than the simple type (P < 0.05). The patients with kidney deficiency and stagnated heat, compared with those with other syndrome types, had a dramatically lower sperm concentration ([21.62 ± 9.25] vs [28.88 ± 12.92] ×10⁶/ml, P < 0.01), but a higher percentage of morphologically abnormal sperm ([98.33 ± 0.15]% vs [96.27 ± 0.18]%, P < 0.05) and DNA fragmentation index ([19.72 ± 3.17]% vs [10.96 ± 3.82]%, P < 0.01). No statistically significant differences were observed in the percentage of progressively motile sperm among different TCM syndrome types. Kidney deficiency and stagnated heat is a main TCM syndrome type in infertility male patients with varicocele and correlated with sperm concentration, the percentage of morphologically abnormal sperm and DNA fragmentation index.Kidney deficiency and stagnated heat is a main TCM syndrome type in infertility male patients with varicocele and correlated with sperm concentration, the percentage of morphologically abnormal sperm and DNA fragmentation index. To evaluate the validity of psychological care combined with enhanced recovery after surgery (PC+ERAS) management in perioperative nursing care of andrological patients. A total of 300 male patients undergoing andrological surgery were included in this study, 150 given PC+ERAS and the other 150 receiving routine nursing care as controls. MS41 supplier We evaluated anxiety and depression of all the patients on admission and discharge using Self-Rating Anxiety Scale (SAS) and Self-Rating Depression Scale (SDS), and compared post-operative hospital days, off-bed time, first passage of flatus, Visual Analog Scale (VAS) score and satisfaction with nursing care between the two groups of patients. On discharge, significant improvement was observed in SAS and SDS scores in the PC+ERAS group compared with the baseline, even more significant than in the control group (P < 0.01), but no obvious improvement was seen in the controls (P > 0.05). The patients in the PC+ERAS group also achieved a significantly shorter post-operative hospital stay, earlier post-operative off-bed time and passage of flatus, lower VAS score, and higher satisfaction with nursing care than those in the control group (P < 0.05). Psychological care combined with ERAS management deserves wide application in the perioperative nursing care of andrological patients, which can significantly improve the patients' anxiety and depression, shorten post-operative hospital stay, reduce VAS score, and increase their satisfaction with nursing care.Psychological care combined with ERAS management deserves wide application in the perioperative nursing care of andrological patients, which can significantly improve the patients' anxiety and depression, shorten post-operative hospital stay, reduce VAS score, and increase their satisfaction with nursing care. To explore the diagnosis, classification and treatment of ectopic seminal tract opening in enlarged prostatic utricle (EPU). We retrospectively analyzed the clinical data on 22 cases of ectopic seminal tract opening in EPU confirmed by spermography, EPU open cannula angiography or intraoperative puncture of the vas deferens and treated by transurethral incision of EPU, cold-knife incision or electric incision of EPU, full drainage of the anteriorwal, and open or laparoscopic surgery from October 1985 to October 2017. Five of the patients were diagnosed with ectopic opening of the vas deferens and the other 17 with ectopic opening of the ejaculatory duct in EPU. During the 3-48 months of postoperative follow-up, symptoms disappeared in all the cases, semen quality was improved in those with infertility, and 2 of the infertile patients achieved pregnancy via ICSI. Ectopic seminal tract opening in EPU is rare clinically. Spermography is a reliable method for the diagnosis of the disease, and its treatment should be aimed at restoring the smooth flow of semen based on proper classification and typing of the disease.Ectopic seminal tract opening in EPU is rare clinically. To investigate the distribution of the gene subtypes of human papillomavirus (HPV) in male patients with condyloma acuminatum (CA) and analyze the characteristics of the gene subtypes. We extracted genomic DNA of the HPV virus from the genital tissue of 70 male CA patients, detected the DNA subtypes of HPV using the PCR-reverse dot hybridization technique, and analyzed the rates of different subtypes identified and their characteristics of distribution in different age groups. The male HPV-positive patients were mainly infected at the age of 20-39 years, primarily with high- and low-risk mixed infection of various subtypes, which accounted for 61.54% in the 20- to 29-year-olds and 42.86% in the 30- to 39-year-olds. Among the 70 CA patients, 22 HPV subtypes were identified, the top five subtypes including HPV 11 (21.08%), HPV 6 (19.46%), HPV 42 (6.49%), HPV 59 (6.49%) and HPV 53 (5.95%); 20 infected with a single subtype (28.57%), 19 with two subtypes (27.14%) and 31 with three or more (44.29%); and 30 infected with a low-risk single subtype (42.
