0.5.13 software. The results of the life cycle assessment (LCA) from cradle to grave showed that the environmental impact of geopolymer brick production was lower in every aspect than that of concrete production. Therefore, geopolymer brick production can reduce environmental impact and can be a value-added use for industrial waste. © 2020 The Author(s).The aim of this study was to determine the influence of ion-exchange resin treatments of white grape must for the production of sparkling base wines, on the grape must chemical composition and fermentation kinetics. The experiment included an untreated grape must with a pH of 3.2, and resin-treated musts with pH 3.14, 3.07, and 3.01. Analysis of pH, total acidity, optical density (O.D.) at 420 nm, total phenolic content, tartaric acid, ammonium-nitrogen (AN) and cations (Ca2+, Mg2+, Cu2+, K+, and Na+) was performed. The fermentations were monitored by mass reduction (CO2 release g/L), and fermentation parameters obtained from a modified non-linear sigmoidal equation. The analyses of the musts showed differences in the concentration of metals, total acidity, tartaric acid, AN and O.D. 420 nm. The kinetic parameters of the fermentation showed significant changes between the control must and the ion-exchange treatments. This study showed that the treatment with cationic resins at the tested level significantly affects the chemical composition of the musts, interfering with the fermentation kinetics. In addition, reductions in the must pH index close to 0.1 unit can lead to positive results in the characteristics of the base must of sparkling wines. © 2020 Published by Elsevier Ltd.A sequential multi-component reaction of the nitroketene dithioacetals, cysteamine hydrochloride, isatin and different CH-acids is described. This efficient method provides new functionalized thiazolo pyridine-fused spirooxindoles and thiazolo pyridopyrimidine-fused spirooxindoles in good yields. In the case of using isatin derivatives (5-bromoisatin and 5-chloroisatin), the reaction was carried out by using nano-SiO2 (20 mol%) as an effective heterogeneous Lewis acid promoter. NSC16168 order This type of reaction provides a range of skeletally different polycyclic spiro thiazole-based heterocyclic structures and represents attractive advantages including straightforward one-pot operation under the catalyst-free condition and simple workup procedures without using tedious purification procedure. © 2020 The Authors. Three mechanisms of free radical scavenge namely, hydrogen atom transfer (HAT), single electron transfer followed by proton transfer (SET-PT) and sequential proton loss electron transfer (SPLET) were considered. The antioxidant descriptors that characterize these mechanisms such as, bond dissociation enthalpy (BDE), adiabatic ionization potential (AIP), proton dissociation enthalpy (PDE), proton affinity (PA) and electron transfer enthalpy (ETE) were evaluated. The sequence of electron donation as predicted by the HOMO results were in good agreement with the sequence of ETE for the considered molecules at their favoured sites of free radical scavenge. The reaction Gibbs free energy for inactivation of the selected peroxyl radicals, show that 1,3,4-oxadiazole antioxidants are more efficient radical scavengers by HAT and SPLET mechanisms than SET-PT mechanism in vacuum. In aqueous solution, the SET-PT mechanism was observed to be the dominant reaction pathway. © 2020 The Authors. Pulses and legumes are important source of plant protein in many diets. They are also an excellent reservoir of dietary fiber and complex carbohydrates resulting in low GI (glycemic index). Pulses play vital role in metabolic and physiological processes due to the presence of various bioactive compounds, and the majority of them are phenolic acids, flavonoids, and tannins. Pulses and legumes are also a good source of 15 essential minerals and vitamins, but their bioavailability is low due to the presence of antinutrient factors in it. Biofortification is a method by which the nutritional value of pulses and legumes can be increased with the help of breeding, transgenic techniques, or agronomic practices and thus helps in preventing the malnutrition. In view of these details, pulses and legumes provide immense opportunities for its inclusion in manufacturing snacks and sports foods. © 2020 The Authors. First, the proposed method removes the noise in K-space in compressed sensing MRI reconstruction. Then, the removed K-space data is used as a partial frequency observation in compressed sensing MRI model. The proposed method shows better results than RecPF method, LDP method, TVCMRI method, and FCSA method in sparse MRI reconstruction. The proposed method is tested against Shepp-Logan phantom and real MR images corrupted by noise of different intensity level, and it gives better Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR), the relative error (ReErr), and the structural similarity (SSIM) than RecPF, LDP, TVCMRI, and FCSA. © 2020 The Authors. In this paper we solve the field equations for Scale covariant theory of gravitation which was introduced by Caunato et al. [1], for Bianchi V line element in the presence of perfect fluid medium. Here the deceleration parameter is considered to be time dependent which gives the average scale factor a ( t ) = [ sinh ( β t ) ] 1 / n , where n and β are positive constants. This value of average scale factor is the key expression for solving the field equations. Using the recent observational value of q 0 = - 0.52 - 0.04 + 0.08 and H 0 = 69.2 ± 1.2 derived from BAO/CMB and H(z) data by Santos et al. (2016) [46], we have evaluated three different pairs of ( n , β ) . We observe that the model represents a phase transition from early deceleration to a present accelerating phase for a particular choice of the pair ( n = 2 , β = 92.75 ) . Applying some recently developed diagnostic tools like jerk parameter and statefinders, we find that the derived model is exactly in accordance with standard ΛCDM model. Along with these, many physical, geometric and kinematic properties of the model are thoroughly studied and found consistent with recent observations.
